It's too bad that when auto-focus was introduced the old split prism focusing screeds were discontinued.
The built in diopter is an improvement though. 'Coarse you have to make sure it is adjusted to your eye, or you won't have a clue if the lens is focused or not.

Just wondering, what are the dimensions of the logo PNG file? Some rescaling algorithms that do poorly with scale factors near 1 are more-or-less OK with much smaller scale factors, say 0.2. In other words: If you start with a far-too-big PNG (3000x1000px, for example), does it scale down to corner-watermark size acceptably well?

There clearly is a bug; it looks like Adobe admitted this 9 months ago but doesn't want to fix it on account of breaking existing workflows (but doesn't every Adobe update break an existing workflow?).

No problem, and a good idea. You will, lose some light and possibly control over focus and metering, so it's all manual and a tripod.

Michael, any thoughts on using extension tubes with a less costly lens (the common 50 f/2 or 70-300 f/4-5.6 for example) for macro work?

Wow. Just... wow. I guess if you're big enough, you can afford to screw over a few percent of your customers. Reminds me of XKCD's bobcat...

Not trying to be overly commercial here (and I have no affiliation with them) but Canada Computers really does an excellent job... their return policy is "If it's broken, bring it back and we'll replace it on the spot for free" and their pricing policy is "if another authorized dealer online or in the same city sells it for less, we'll match their price". Their regular prices are usually within 2% of Tiger, Newegg, etc.
