Street stories

I have said before that pictures are more interesting when they keep you guessing.

Today I had five minutes to do a few street shots, before an appointment with a friend and client on  Toronto’s Victoria Street. So I used those five minutes to take a few snaps at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto:

Oh, I do love street photography, and I do love the new GF-1 that allows me to snap away unobtrusively.

  1. Michael, Wow, this post makes me miss Toronto, my home-away-from-home. I really like the picture of the girl/woman with her hand over the water; impact-full!

I was wondering, because my memory is failing, in the picture of the 3 women crossing the street, you framed them in what looks like an a acute angle, but isn’t that really a 90 degree angle crosswalk? If so, is that a function of wide-angle lens? Anyway, in the long run, it doesn’t matter because it really draws you into the shot.

  2. HI, michael! I noticed there is water mark: MichaelWillems/mvwphoto on most of ur pictures posted on ur b-log, I am new in photography, could you please tell me how did u do that?
