Another message I iterate often is the need to keep it simple.
A good photo is often distinguished by its simplicity. Everything in the photo is there for a reason – or it’s not there.
Simple can be achieved by:
- Filling the frame (zooming in or stepping closer)
- Changing your viewpoint
- Blurring the background
- Moving things or people.

As you see, a simple crop makes the picture better. The crop tool in Lightroom should be your best friend! An even tighter crop would be even better, I bet.

How do I view the metadata in lightroom as I see in Flickr?
Simple. Go to the LIBRARY module; then on the rightopen the METADATA window; select EXIF. Let me know if that works for you!
On the right I have the histogram. I know some of the metadata is below it. Am I looking in the wrong spot?
Scroll down from the histogram (assuming you are in Library). You will see a small window called “Metadata”. Open that one!
