Curves Posted on November 4, 2009 by Michael Willems One “detector’ that you should train yourself to have is the “curve-detector”. Curves lead gently through the picture, like a gentle slow journey. Two samples, picked from many: Both taken on the same day in Gamla Stan: Old Stockholm.
It takes much practice to spot the curve. May not look right in the view finder but very pleasing on print-it’s a personal delemma when I am on photo walks.
Yes indeed. I recomemnd we all
a) Train ourselves to spot all curves
b) Ask “could there possibly be a picture here?”
c) If yes, then shoot. If maybe, then still shoot – and decide at home.
Good training for the eye.
